Craig's new Toy

I cant believe I forgot to mention Craig's new toy on my last post. His truck.

We got this a few weeks ago and its been fun! Its a Chevy Dermax. Now we can tow whatever we want :)

Maxus is still a little stinker. But he is so dang cute! He may look innocent but he is far from it..

He is still into chewing. I cant wait till he grows out of it! He has chewed up 2 places in our carpet, chewed on our wall (yes our wall), our big kitchen rug and he chewed a whole in our kitchen floor!!

Luckily Craig was in Florida when he did this so I had time to fix it before he got home.

But- He is still my little cuddle buddy and still sleeps right beside me every night.

I'm so bad

I know I know. I totally suck at keeping this updated. New Years Resolution- Keeping our blog updated.

Where to begin since August. September was kind of a rough month. I had my tonsils removed Sept. 10th. If I would have known how painful it was going to be, I probably would have dealt with them. I had tonsil stones (I've never heard of them until I got them) that I had to get rid of. I dont want to even explain it because of how gross they are. All I ate for about 2 weeks was ice. It was a very sore throat times 100! The only positive thing about it was I lost 12 pounds. It seemed like forever until my throat was all healed up. But I survived.

September and October was pretty busy for Craig and his hunting. Craig drew out for a bull elk this year and he was so determined to find an elk. He went spotting all the time and put up trail cameras to get him an elk. At the same time, he was spotting for a moose. I actually went with him a couple times believe it or not. I had so much fun! Very cold obviously by the way I'm dressed. I felt like a big marshmallow!

His Grandpa drew out for a moose and apparently, its a once in a life time draw. Craig's Grandpa's moose hunt was first.

Craigs hunt took a little longer. He was gone for 2 weeks straight looking for an elk. He is a true mountain man. Staying in a tent for 2 weeks. But it was all worth it!

So I started this diet called HCG right before Halloween. Probably the worst decision ever to start a diet right before the holidays. Obviously I wasn't thinking. Its a 500 calorie a day diet which was pretty brutal. Very limited food choices, and only water and coffee to drink. It lasted 3 weeks, then I was on a maintenance diet which was a little more food for 3 weeks. I have to say, in the end, it was all worth it. I lost 16 lbs total. It was so crazy to see that I was losing a pound or two a day.

My birthday was in November. Craig and I went out with some friends for sushi. We really didnt do much, just relaxed. Thanksgiving was fun too! We went up to Snow Basin for Thanksgiving dinner with his family. We had fun!

Maxus turned 1 December 21st! Crazy- I feel like we just got him. He got to go to his favorite store and got a few toys and treats.

Awe the Holidays... My favorite thing about Christmas time is decorating for it. This is our front room.

This Christmas holiday was a mess for me. I always do this to myself, I wait till the last second to get anything for anyone. Including my own husband. I'm horrible I know. The crowds were terrible, traffic insane, just way too busy for me. I finally made myself go out shopping for everyone just 2 days before Christmas. At least I wasnt the only one because of how crowded it was. But I will never wait that long again.
Christmas morning was different this year. We first opened up presents that Craig and I got for each other. Craig got me the cutest robe. I have been asking for one and he picked the perfect one out. I got Craig a nice sweater. We also got Maxus a little something of course. He didnt like it too much.

Every time we take off the sweater, he seriously attacks it. He also got lots of treats. Spoiled dog.


We usually go over to Craig's parents house to watch our niece's and nephews open their presents (which is my favorite thing) But this year we went over to my parents house and opened up presents with my family. I loved it so much. I havent done that since before I got married. My parents were so good to us. Craig got $$ and I got so much home decor for my home. After we opened presents, we had our Christmas breakfast. Oh it was good. But we kind of had a downer morning. My Grandparents usually join us Christmas morning to open up presents. But it was just my Grandma. My Grandpa wasnt feeling to great. During breakfast, my Grandpa called and told my Grandma he needed to go to the hospital. Turned out, he had blocked intestines. He is doing ok now.
After breakfast we had to go see what our nieces and nephews got from Santa. It was so fun seeing what they got!

New Years was relaxing. Craig and I didnt do a thing. We just played card games, watched the ball drop and went to bed. Nothing exciting but it was nice not to do anything. I'm so excited to see what 2011 brings!

Weekend Finally!

What a week. So glad its the weekend.
Football finally started up. Beau is such an AWESOME player! His first game he got a touch down. He played in a tournament and won both games. He wont be playing this weekend because of a hurt knee. 
Craig and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary August 3rd. We took the day off from work, went to the GateWay in SLC and shopped for a little bit. Got the cutest outfits. Then just hung-out together for the rest of the day. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing husband. Couldn't ask for better! 
Maxus is still such a cute pup. He is 8 months old on August 21st. He is so active still! He definitely keeps us busy. I've taken him to the vet twice in the past month and a half. He was really sick with a swollen stomach and an inflamed colon. Then just a week ago, he started getting dots on his back and front legs. Turns out it was because he was allergic to something. But now he is better! Those vet bills are outrageous! I would never have thought it would be so much for a check up.
We went camping with my family a couple weekends ago up to East Canyon and had a blast! Craig's parents let us barrow their camping trailer. We also brought up the ranger. Went four wheeling for a couple hours. Maxus road right between us the whole time surprisingly! It was a well needed little vacation. I wish it was longer. 
This weekend is Craig's 23rd Birthday! I invited all of Craig's guy friends to go out to sushi tomorrow night. Then Sunday we are having family over for cake and ice cream. He isnt much of a birthday kind of person but oh well! He has no choice.

I know I know

Its been so long. I feel like so much has happened. I dont even know where to start. Last time I posted was in October. Craig and I have now lived in our home for 10 months now, almost a year. Our home is still not fully decorated yet. Thats coming little by little. Decor is way too expensive to do it all at once. I will take pictures soon!

We actually have a new addition to our family. Our little boy Maxus. He was definitely a handful at first, but he was worth it all. He is now 6 months old. I feel like our whole life revolves around him now. He is just like having a little baby. Its been so fun having him!

Seriously- this is how he sleeps. Its not the best picture of me but oh well! Craig woke up at 2 in the morning and took a picture of us. He is such a cuddle buddy!

Been moved in for almost 2 months!

Yes, its been a little too long.. I try to at least update this once a month but I have been slacking.. Obviously.

We have been enjoying our house! We love this area.. We haven't really met anyone yet but the ones that we have are pretty cool :)

Craig is still my hill billy with his missing tooth. He actually has surgery to get it fixed next Wednesday. From what I understand, its very painful.. So wish him luck! He has been so busy with work and his lawn mowing business. He just started his business and is doing so good at it! Its a lot of work but he enjoys it. Hunting season just started AGAIN.. it feels like I just wrote about this.. so I'm going to become a widow once again. I think I will be kept busy here at our new house with painting and decorating it so thats something to look forward to.

Craig and I havent been up to much.. He has been doing his own thing, and I have been doing my own thing.

For the past few Saturday's, I've been going to my little brothers football games. He is so much fun to watch! He is our star player. They didnt make it to the play offs but they were sure close! He made a touch down pretty much every game. I LOVE supporting him in everything. I even got my nails done with his team's color GOLD and his #12 on my ring fingers. Not obsessed, jut proud! Next thing is basketball.

Halloween is just around the corner. I'm so excited to actually have trick-or-treaters this year! And a house to decorate for holidays :) My has this year flown by. It needs to slow down just a little bit.. Next thing you know Christmas will be here! Sorry for slacking!

FOUND A HOUSE!

So, the house hunting is FINALLY over. We decided to build a townhouse in Farmington, UT. Craig and I got to pick everything out! The colors of our carpet, tile and counter tops, cabinets, and paint. Its getting so close to being done! I took my best friend over to check out my house and the paint is all done! We couldnt go inside because they locked it and it was too late to get the key. Every time Craig and I go over to our house, we get more and more anxious and excited. This will be our very first house. Its something that we have been working really hard for and finally we are getting one. Our closing date is August 21, 2009, the day before Craig's birthday. Great birthday present right?! I'm not really looking forward to the paperwork and paying an arm and a leg but it will all be worth it at the end :) I will post pictures up soon..

In June, it was the Beene Family Reunion at Island Park. We had a cabin which was so nice inside and so much room! Craig and I brought 3 4-wheelers, my dad brought his new toy a Rhino, my Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jay brought their motorcycles which made it even more fun! It did rain quite a bit but it gave us puddles! We were a mess after coming back from riding. We also went to Yellowstone, which I have never been there before. It wasnt really what I expected but it was gorgeous.

We have been so busy lately.. Craig has been playing soccer, working so hard trying to expand his Lawn Care Business, and being super sick. The day before we went home from Island Park, he came down with the Swine Flu. That stuff is so icky! He was out of work for 1 week for that, then got sick with Pneumonia and put him out of work for another week. After he went back to work, I got bronchitis and I was out for 5 days. Luckily, it started on a Friday and ended on Wednesday so I got to go back to work that week. Hopefully the sickness stays AWAY

House Hunting is harder than we thought!

and we thought it would be easy!!! We are still looking like crazy.. nothing really has caught our eye yet. I think we are too picky- which is good. Craig and I are spending all day tomorrow looking for one. Its a blast though looking! I cant wait to see whats out there tomorrow. 

Nothing really has happened in the past month. I joined a Stampin Up Club which gives me a hobby! I'm not the best at scrap booking yet but I'm on my way to be. Craig is still working hard as ever. Its the busy time of the year for their company so he is super busy. He also has a lawn care business "Lawn Mania" which is also keeping him busy- especially on weekends. But he loves doing his jobs! 

We cant wait for the summer to come! A family Reunion is coming up in June that we are really stoked for! Its going to be up at Island Park right by Yellow Stone Park. We are bringing our 4-wheelers to go on the trails. We are planning on going camping/fishing/boating a lot this summer too. So EXCITED!

Exciting News!

5 days seem so long but yet its so short. Craig drove to South Dakota for a guided Snow Geese hunt with Bill Saunders for 5 days with a few of his friends. Craig and his buddies were supposed to get video taped while they were hunting. His crew was in Missouri at the time and didnt get to video them which was a bummer. The first day wasnt such a success. They got a total of 1 goose. Yeah just 1 out of the millions that were flying around. Geese aren't as dumb as you think obviously. The next few hunts got better and better. They shot a total of 60 geese. Sad thing is, they should have gotten more than that in a day :( His drive home was a long one. He pulled his hammy right before he left. The drive there and back was miserable for him. He was glad to be home and so was I. I think we were both about to go insane for different reasons. I was so ready for him to get home.

So to the EXCITING NEWS. 

While Craig was driving home, he text me and said for me to remind him to talk to me about something when he gets home. Of course I was so anxious to hear what he had to say. He gets home and we start talking about his trip. I reminded him and guess what he said.. YOU READY? We are finally moving into our own place!!! :) That week was so hard to work. It was on my mind constantly. I wanted to just go find a house and move in right that second. Later that week, Craig and I went house hunting. Our first spot we fell in love with. Down side-the house isnt built yet Up Side- we get to build it ourselves and make it our own. Right now we are in the process of getting pre-qualified. After that, we are right on our way to our new beginning. 

Love Month!

Valentines day was great! Craig bought me some gorgeous flowers. Instead of going out to dinner with everyone else we decided to make our own candle light romantic dinner. We made Manicotti with veggies. it turned out great and it was fun to cook with each other. For desert we had chocolate covered strawberries. it hit the spot! Then we just hung out with each other for the rest of the night. 

So, I'm stuck with glasses for a bit. I had to have a gross eye surgery. I had clogged pores in my eye lid which caused bumps that irritated me. It wasnt a fun experience thats for sure. I've had a swollen eye for going on 4 days. its getting annoying and i miss my contacts! I'm just glad they are gone. 

January is over?

Time is flying! I cant believe we are already a month into the new year. This month was a pretty fun one! Craig was hunting pretty much all the time of course! He did awesome this hunting season. He always came home with ducks and geese.. I dont eat them of course but he didnt let them go to waste! But i'm glad its finally over. I get to see him! Yay!

Chaundra and i went to a concert! AVENGED SEVENFOLD! Saving Abel, Papa Roach and Buckcherry were there too! We had to stay outside and wait in line to get in for 45 min.. it was pretty cold but it was so worth it! There were some crazy people there though. I would definitely go to another one of their concerts. Amazing. Chaundra had a blast!

So, another exciting thing that happened this month. Chelle and I chopped our hair!!! I cut off at least 7 1/2 inches.. Chelle cut 9 inches. It took a lot for me to actually cut my hair but i did it! it feels so much better but it still takes just as long to do.

Holidays!

Our Holiday went by so fast! I had basically 2 weeks off of work and relaxed.. We had our nephews stay the night with us Christmas Eve. It was so much fun to have them! They were so excited they couldn't sleep.. So I was up till 2 in the morning with them then to top that off, they woke me up at 4:45am. Yeah, we didnt get much sleep then. But it was so worth it! Craig gave me an iTouch which is pretty sweet. Of course, he has to show me up every year. I only got him clothes, but he is one tough person to shop for! 

New Years was good too.. Craig and I went to Coalville for the night. We went hot tubing and watched movies. We feel asleep before the New Year came so we werent up which is fine. We were tired.

Craig of course has been hunting for the past 3 months. He is a die hard for it. I dont see him that much but when I do I take advantage of it. He has been enjoying every second of it. Ice fishing is just around the corner.. We are just waiting for the lakes to freeze over. 

Happy Birthday!

Yep! Today was my 21st Birthday! I dont feel any older yet.. Its been a pretty fun week thats for sure. Monday was the Jazz game. They played the Suns. It was actually a pretty good game. Half time was the best! Chelle performed at half time with her Weber State cheer team.. 

Wednesday was the BIG Carrie Underwood concert. Amazing... Probably the best concert I have ever been to. Craig had a awesome time too! So many people were there it was insane.. She sounded perfect! Our seats were good for us! We werent too far away from the stage. Well worth it!

Today was fabulous.. I got to work this morning and my entire desk was decorated for my birthday.. My co-workers are too sweet. They also bought me the new Enya Christmas CD, my sleep music! They also took me out for lunch to Wingers. I had family over for dinner tonight. Pizza and Cake! My nephews are the cutest ever.. They all wrapped up their Halloween candy in a zip-lock baggy and gave it to me for my birthday. I also got me some money to go shopping! YAY! Today went by too fast.. I loved it though! Steph, Nick, Beans, Craig and I all went to Boston's to celebrate! Steph had a balloon maker make me a weiner dog! It was so much fun!

Busy week to come!

I so needed this weekend. I needed a break from work thats for sure. It gets stressful more and more everyday. Craig was gone for a week for a guided Elk hunt. He helped Pat guide a guy from Oregon. It was pretty boring with him gone for that long but I kept busy. 

Craig took me shopping last night. He bought me an outfit for Carrie Underwood's concert that we are going to Wednesday night for my birthday. It took a lot for Craig to commit to taking me to the concert. He isnt much of a concert kind of guy. 

Its been a relaxing weekend. This week will keep us busy.. Jazz Games, Concerts, and Birthdays.. I cant wait!

Its been awhile!

Hello! Its been so busy! We have had family visiting from Alabama and California. Suzi and Josh came for about 4 days last week. We had so much fun. When they first got here (Thursday) Craig and I took off work to go to Body Worlds with them. It was so interesting and kind of weird. Just knowing that they were alive once kind of freaked me out a little. 

Craig left for hunting the next morning so he only had a day to spend with them. I took off Thursday and Friday from work so I could spend as much time with them as I could. Friday we went to the Monastery in Huntsville. The last time I went there was when I was 6. Suzi wanted to see Utah again. She only comes out once every year, if that. Saturday night Lachelle, Chaundra, and I took Suzi and Josh to Nightmare on 13th haunted house. So much fun! It was great to spend time with them. 

Craig has been hunting like crazy of course! He got a 4 pt. deer this year which is good I guess. He has also been busy with duck hunting as well. I'll be going with him a few times this year hopefully! He bought me some waders so thats a start! Now i just need a hunters safety then I'm ready to go!

My uncle Mikey came out from California for hunting. I didn't get to see much of him because he was gone a lot. It was good to see him though!

Lonely Week

Well, as most of you know its the beginning of hunting season. I of course married a hunter. Craig is up on the mountains somewhere hunting for deer. It sure is lonely with out him. He will be gone for a week or until he gets a deer. He left on Tuesday so its been pretty boring. Lachelle spent the night we me Tuesday. I'm a big baby when it comes to sleeping alone. Tonight my friend Stephanie is coming to spend the night with me. We will have fun!

Last weekend was Beau's football game and Birthday! He got an interception/touch down.. amazing.. For his birthday, Craig and I took him to Tepanyaki's for dinner then he spent the night with us. Sunday was his actual birthday. My family through a family party for him. This weekend he is having a friend birthday party with his whole team plus friends so it will be a mad house at the Beene's!

Tonight I have a soccer game and softball game.. We are playing a team that is on our level FINALLY! It gets annoying being beat so many times. Hopefully we do good today..
